Here’s hoping everyone had a wonderful Christmastime and that you’re gearing up for an exciting 2019!  We would normally meet the first Tuesday of the month, but being New Year’s Day, we thought it would be best to postpone until the eighth.
The Emerald Isle is a dark and stormy this time of year, which leaves plenty of time for stories.  At this meeting we’ll be talking about the area of western Ireland known as the Burren.  A rocky terrain with a confluence of alpine, artic, and Mediterranean plants, dotted with Neolithic structures, and home of the Clare Tree, the Burren has inspired songs, Mesolithic axe production, poetry, and even a perfumery.
Please join us between 5.00-6.30 P.M. on Meg O’Malley’s back patio for the craic.  If you would like to share your experience on the Burren, please do, and bring pictures!  We would love to see you and hear from you.
Meg O’Malley’s is working on their new website, featuring the Craic and the Meg’s Session Musicians, and will be taking photographs.  If you prefer not to have your picture taken, just let me know.
